Your rights and obligations when using the app — and our core commitment: "Examino suggests, the teacher decides".
Legal & compliance
Examino handles what a teacher holds most sensitive: their students' exam papers. On this page you will find all of our legal and transparency documents — terms of use and sale, data protection, security and data retention.
Our commitments
The teacher decides, always
The AI suggests a correction; no grade is ever awarded automatically. Every paper is reviewed and validated by the teacher.
Names are redacted
The student's name is automatically redacted from papers, and transmissions of the original version to AI models are kept to the strict minimum.
Never any training on your papers
Our model providers contractually commit to never training their models on submitted content, redacted or not, and to keeping it only as long as strictly necessary for abuse detection (at most 30 to 55 days depending on the provider).
Your data stays in Europe
Database and files are stored in the European Union.
Contractual documents
The texts that govern your use of Examino. You accept them when creating an account (Terms of Use) and when taking out a subscription (Terms of Sale); they prevail in the event of a disagreement.
Your data, in practice
Who keeps Examino running, where your data is stored, how it is protected and how long we keep it.
The complete list of the companies that keep Examino running (hosting, database, AI models, payments...), where your data is located and under which contractual guarantees.
How we technically protect your data: encrypted connections, access control, logging, backups.
Your papers and results remain under your control: you delete them freely, at any time, and everything is deleted when the account is closed. Our recommended retention periods, and how to delete everything yourself.
